Triangle’s Action Plan for COVID-19
With the outbreak seeming to become more manageable, we at Triangle are taking safety precautions to get back to a new normal. We are starting to have staff back in office on a rotation. The office will have someone in from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. While we are in office, we are taking safety precautions of constantly washing our hands and using hand sanitizer, wearing masks and have installed a plexiglass window on our front desk. We ask that you stay home if you are ill or symptomatic; we are more than happy to have your meeting over the phone, or to reschedule your meeting until you are well. We are mainly offering virtual meetings, but are offering limited in person meetings to help keep up with safe social distancing recommendations.
Triangle’s Plan of Action:
- We have a staff member in office, with rotating schedules as to who is in office.
- All appointments with Kendra, Lindsey and Jessica are now virtual preferred. We have limited availability to meet in person
- Our staff members are keeping their hands washed consistently, wearing masks, and are continuously doing their part to keep their workstations and the office clean.
- Office hours are now 9 am to 4 pm, please schedule an appointment time to drop something off in office.
As always, please look for emails, follow us on Facebook and check our website to stay posted on what we are doing. We wish you wellness, and we are here for you.
The Power of Compounding
Are you familiar with the term “power of compounding”? This article written by Lindsey Taylor goes into depth of explaining what the power of compounding truly means.
3 Roth Conversion Traps to Avoid After the SECURE Act
The Tax Cut and Jobs Act lowered taxes for many Americans and with the SECURE Act Roth IRAs became even more powerful as an estate planning vehicle to minimize taxes, so it’s a convenient time to take advantage of Roth conversions.
The required age for taking your RMD has changed! This article covers the SECURE Act, which explains the new Required Minimum Distribution guidelines.
We are proud to announce that Jessica Dillon, Independent Financial Advisor at Triangle Financial Services, recently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) certification!
The CPWA® designation is an advanced education and certification program for financial planners and financial advisors who work with high net worth clients on the life cycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution.
The CPWA® program contains a rigorous amount of coursework followed by a one-week course at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The examination covered a total of 11 core topics that were required to be mastered before taking the exam for certification. These include ethics, behavioral finance, family dynamics, tax planning, portfolio management, risk management and asset preservation, charitable giving, estate issues and wealth transfer, planning for executives, planning for closely held business owners and retirement management.
Candidates who earn the certification learn to identify and analyze challenges high net worth individuals face and understand how to develop specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth and transfer wealth.
This type of holistic financial planning will help us ensure that we are providing our clients with the most advanced and specialized recommendations and help clients feel more confident in their financial decisions.
Why Work With a CPWA Professional?
Our team continues to be strong and flexible during these uncertain times. We would like to introduce our summer intern, Mallory. Mallory is currently attending University of Northern Iowa, following her Financial Management with a Minor in Business Economics.
Do not forget that Tax Day is Wednesday, July 15th!
What’s happening in our lives…
To stay cool in the hot, we have had to travel to Lake Ponderosa to swim and take our camper to the mountains in Wyoming to enjoy cool dry mountain air. All practicing our safe COVID distancing and sanitizing. Nature is good for the mind, body and soul! We hope you are staying well!
We’ve been thankful for beautiful weather the last several months and have enjoyed many family bike rides, walks, and lots of playing outside with our big pile of cardboard boxes and swimming in the backyard. Otto even learned how to ride a bike without training wheels!
With fewer activities after-work, the last few months have been a wonderful opportunity for our family to enjoy time together. This picture is of me and my kids enjoying a recent full moon from our backyard. We are looking forward to driving to mountains of Colorado in a few weeks!
My family and I have done a lot of housework in our spare time; from painting, to getting new flooring and all new appliances over the last few months. When we can no longer stand being inside, we like to spend a lot of time outside swimming, playing tee ball and drawing with chalk, or jumping in the car and driving on one day road trips!
While spending time outside, Lindsey has taken to drawing some fun pieces of chalk-art! Please enjoy Lindsey’s amazing work below!
